Welcome to Magie Pinsel Studio
Welcome to Magie Pinsel, where the brush truly becomes magic. The name, which means "Magic Brush" in German, is a nod to my grandfather's mother language and the special bond we shared. As a child, he affectionately referred to me as "Little Pinsel" due to my love for painting and ideas for adding vibrant colours to the chicken cages on his farm. Join me as I continue to create and inspire through my art.

Macrame therapy
Macrame therapy refers to the use of macrame knotting and weaving as a form of therapy or stress relief. The repetitive motions and focus required for macrame can be meditative and calming, helping to reduce anxiety and tension. The act of creating something by hand can also be therapeutic and can boost self-esteem and confidence. Additionally, the finished product can serve as a reminder of the calming and meditative state achieved during the creation process. It is considered as a form of art therapy, which is a well-known practice of using art making as a means of self-expression and self-discovery. Art therapy can also help individuals to develop problem-solving skills, cope with stress, and improve self-esteem.

come and see what I do
I am on a never-ending journey to find new ways to innovate and add extra depth to my work. I create watercolour paintings when I am in a happy place but on my darker days, I prefer acrylic paints and express myself through abstracts.
For as long as remember I always had a pencil in a pocket or behind my ear just like my father did, or I had a stick that I used to draw in the sand. I used to draw in my school exercise books and on every piece of paper that was anywhere near me. For a very long time, I only did pencil drawings, but a few years ago I discovered watercolour pencils that invited me on the journey of learning to paint with watercolours. This has been a joyful challenge, since the control I am used to when working in pencil, does not apply to watercolours. The magic of the medium is alluring and soothing, it calms my mind and colours my soul.
