The magic of light...
The art of photography fascinated me since childhood as my father was a dedicated photographer and passed his passion on to me and many other family members. I photograph everything I can and did long before mobile phones were in use, from leaves to flowers, I see the beauty in it all and help others find it through my photographs.

I’m also fascinated with vessels that carry lights so this photograph was taken by chance whilst working on a project about light and shows how we as human animals are captivated by light and fire, this is a simple image, but it captures me at my most magical, almost between worlds. I had been creating metalwork from tin cans inspired by first nation cultures. This tin shown has been covered in silver leaf to reflect the candlelight with reflections and lighting creating an "otherworldly" tone and a very atmospheric image. A stark reminder in our digital lives that we are still animals and that the wild magic is still within us today.
